the Lawn Tennis Championships, Wimbledon
...starts Monday

obviously going a bit under the radar this year ; indeed the men's final and the football world cup final are on the same afternoon.

Federer is strong favourite of the big four. He may get outgunned by CILIC, who has just won the Queen's club title.

in the women's, MUGURUZA is already looking like a Wimbledon specialist. she can be challenged by the Czech girls Pliskova and Kvitova.

Sven - Agree with your post, anybody who has even the tiniest understanding of sport (never mind tennis) would recognise that the Djokovic/Nadal semi-final was a superb sporting event.

Tim Henman was No 4 in the world rankings at certain times, we haven't got an English footballer/rugby player/cricketer anywhere near that level.

The good news is that the US Open starts on Aug 27.
Murray should be back to compete with Djokovic, Federer & Nadal.

Thank God it's over. No more bingo-winged rosy-cheeked fucktards getting excited about a fucking drop shot.

Tennis is as boring as golf these days - they all resemble the T1000 from Termiator 2...

Re: the Lawn Tennis Championships, Wimbledon
Djokovic is the best returner of serve in the game.
Once someone hits the ball back against Anderson he doesn’t have anything to deal with it.
As usual really tall men are useless freaks at the top level

I reckon Tim Henman should have tried this gluten free diet. Probably would have avoided being the most embarrassing british sportsman of all time

Well, his elbow doesn’t look like it needs any more surgery.
Was superb against Nadal and is making short work of the lanky Saffa.
2-1 with a break in the second

Djokovic breaks twice and takes the first set at a stroll 6-2
Anderson not in the same class and utterly fucked when someone returns his serve.

Decent chance of Djokovic finishing in time for the WC Final

Funnily enough, I didn't watch it.

I like cycling as an activity rather than a sport

Anyone who watched Nadal v Djokovic and thinks that was boring sport is frankly an imbecile.

True. Forgot cycling. A "sport" for utter cunts.

Apart from any golf, this has to be THE most boring sporting event on the planet.

Anyone who fails to appreciate the advances in women's tennis brought about by the Williams sisters should be punished by being made to endure watching endless matches between Virginia Wade and Betty Stove.

So good to see Williams get battered today in straight sets. I bet that lines woman she bullied a few years back enjoyed seeing her lose too.
